Operational safety mode (inventor, 2017)

The Apple Car Experience engineering and design teams had many spirited discussions about the scope of what would become Do Not Disturb While Driving. This chain of invention disclosures covers the meat of what eventually made it into production. Note that Craig Federighi himself is listed as a co-inventor on this one— that’s how in-flux the feature still was during exec design reviews.
